If you have multiple Adobe InDesign files open and you need to make a change to all of them, it’s quite simple using the Find/Change feature. First, make sure all the documents you want to update are open. Now, open the Find/Change dialog box by hitting Command + F. As you can see in the image above, I have two InDesign documents open which both contain a typo (Grafic instead of Graphic). I simply type “Grafic” in the Find what: field, and “Graphic” in the Change to: field. Then select All Documents from the Search drop-down menu and hit Change All. That’s it. All instances of Grafic in both my documents get updated. When you’re finished, you can save ALL the open documents at once by hitting Command + Option + Shift + S, rather than switching to each one individually and saving.
