If you've used Adobe Illustrator for any amount of time, probably one of the first things you do is turn off that annoying startup window that asks you if you want to create a new document, open an existing document, blah-blah-blah. I know I do, it's quite annoying.

However one thing you'll notice if you turn that annoying window back on via the help menu in Illustrator, one of the options is “New from Template.” Now Illustrator doesn't have a magic template troll hidden in the box cranking these puppies out whenever you ask for them, they're hidden in plain view in the Applications/Illustrator/Cool Extras/Templates folder on your hard drive.
