They did add the “vault” method of saving your fonts, but it’s an option. You can still have Suitcase leave your fonts right where you put them if you wish.

As far as comparing it to FE. I used to use FE quite a bit. But I found it to be clunky in comparison to Fusion. As far as features, it can’t even compare to Fusion. Quick Match alone makes Fusion worth the price.

But you should download the trial of the latest version of both apps and decide for yourself.

I used to be a diehard Suitcase fan until they merged with Fusion several years ago and the whole paradigm of how Suitcase handled font management took a change for the worse.
