FreePik has this really nice magazine PSD mockup, high-resolution and free to download. I like this one in particular because it’s straight-on, so you could use it to show off a 4-page newsletter just as easily as a 64-page magazine.

If you’ve never used Photoshop smart objects, just double-click the layer with the magazine art on it, drop your artwork into the resulting file and save it and boom… your magazine mockup is updated to show off you design.

Quickly view only one layer at a time in your PSD file

Sometimes you want to view only a single layer in a multi-layer PSD file. There’s an easy way to do that

Rather than clicking multiple layer view icons (the little Eye next to the layer preview and name), you can speed up the process by Option+Clicking the one layer view icon you want to view.

The other layers will turn off. To turn them all back on, Option+Click the layer view icon again.

Brusheezy offers a host of design resources, focusing primarily on Photoshop brushes, patterns and textures. Lately, they’ve added PSDs to the mix. If the site looks familiar, it’s because I’ve shared artwork in the past from their companion site Vecteezy.
