Spotlight does just fine for my needs. I know those apps do more than search and launch apps, but everything else they do is highly technical in that you really need to have the need and the “drive” to force yourself to use them in lieu of existing methods.

That being said, they do work very well.

It is one of the best third party software available for the Mac and I wish it becomes a permanent feature of Mac OS XI.

“amcFanControl” and “Butler” are good too but dont see how all users would benefit so even though I recommend them, I don’t believe they should be standard features.
