If you’ve been using a Mac long enough, you’ve probably come across a file or two that simply won’t go away when you try to empty the trash. Odd error messages claim you don’t have permission, or they’re in use… it’s quite annoying.
If you know the commands, you can delete them from the Terminal, or you can use Trash It!, a simple app that force deletes your trash with the click of the icon. When you run into the problem, you simply click the icon and enter your password to force OS X to delete the file forever.
