As the corporate redundancy axe is about to swing in my direction again, I am really thinkin I could do no better than have a go on my own, the obvious snags in my mind are estimating and pitching for a job of which my expertise is minimal ( is there software for this, I have been in print for 30 years so I am not completely green) and also trying to reach a deadline but having to answer the phone and deal with all other problems. (I can hear freelancers shouting "welcome to the real world" as i write this)

If anybody can give me tips and advice it would be most appreciated
