The parallax wallpaper feature of iOS7 is pretty cool. To truly take advantage, you need great images to use. Parallax Wallpapers and Parallaxize are two fantastic sites that offer amazing parallax wallpaper images.
Adobe Illustrator
The official statement from Adobe is that Mavericks and Adobe Creative Suite 6 and Creative Cloud play nice together. In fact, they claim compatibility back to CS3.
I had to re-enter username & password for the Creative Cloud app after upgrading to Mavericks, InDesign runs horribly, and Adobe Illustrator opens on an old MacBook Air, but not on a brand new iMac with the exact same apps & fonts installed. Previously, Creative Cloud was running perfectly fine.
I’ve also come across dozens of other apps that are now broken, such as two different screen capture apps.
I would say if you haven’t installed Mavericks on your main rig, don’t do it yet.

If you work in small groups or at a large agency, you’ll find UTS a great server-side font manager.
Alien Skin has announced the upcoming release of Snap Art version 4. Snap Art is their natural media application for photographers and artists. It works with Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, Apple Aperture, and is also a stand-alone application. Snap Art 4 will cost $99, with upgrades for $69.

I’ve been taking screen captures for decades. And for as long as I can remember, I’ve been using Snapz Pro. It’s simple, effective, and does exactly what I need it to. At least, I thought it did, until I tried Voila from GlobalDelight
I’ve been giving Voila a try for the last month or so, and I must say that I’m quite impressed. It’s not perfect, but it packs a pretty powerful punch for $30 compared to Snapz Pro X at $70. At $15 though the end of September, it’s an outright bargain!
Voila bills itself as the ultimate screen capture solution for your Mac. At first I wasn’t convinced, but after a month of use, I’ve removed Snapz Pro from my Mac and have been using Voila full time; I love it! Interesting concept. I’m not entirely sure I agree, but the ‘cards‘ idea does appear to be taking off.

If you want to spare every key click you possibly can, you can quickly access the Open Dialog Box in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator with nothing but your mouse – and you don’t even have to make a trip to the File menu!

Adobe has updated, for the second time in a very short period, Photoshop Creative Cloud. It’s actually kind of nice to see the update notification pop-up more often with CC apps.
